In practicing Pilates you are making a decision to care for your well-being, body, and mind. Enhancing everything you do.
Pilates is a low impact conditioning exercise that anybody can do. Pilates works to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints.
Placing more emphasis on pelvic and scapular stabilisation, and integration of all the parts of the body into one. The goal is to deliver a class that will improve and build stability and control. Pilates really does transform poor posture. It re-educates the body so the right muscles are doing the right job!
Are these classes suitable for a beginner ?
Yes. Classes are taught with a maximum of six people so we will be able to build a good foundation within these classes and take you through progressions.
Why choose a mixed ability class?
Giving you alternative levels to meet you where you are in your practice. If you want to work with more challenging levels on a particular day you can, whilst in the same way, you can take it easier if you have had a tough week.
Who is pilates for ?
Particularly successful with rehabilitation, but equally great for those wanting to improve spinal, joint and peripheral mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and muscular flexibility. Pilates workouts added to TRX, HIIT or Bootcamp can add a well-rounded fitness.
Seth is an excellent teacher giving step by step instructions, with options for different levels. He has excellent coaching skills and keeps the class interesting and fun! I enjoyed it so much I persuaded my wife to join a year ago and now we are both love Pilates and are in much better shape.
Lisa and Seth are fantastic. I absolutely love Pilates and that is mainly down to them, their teaching style, and friendly approach to how they run their business. The studio is immaculate and so central. I highly recommend Studio 10 for all your workout and/or recovery needs.
