Studio 10 Offers a great space for a various activites. Here’s a glance of some of the classes and events going on. 

PILATES 

Pilates is a low impact conditioning exercise that anybody can do. Pilates works to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints.

Placing more emphasis on pelvic and scapular stabilisation, and integration of all the parts of the body into one. The goal is to deliver a class that will improve and build stability and control. Pilates really does transform poor posture. It re-educates the body so the right muscles are doing the right job!

 PILATES WITH WEIGHTS  

At Pilates with weights we use light hand weights to ensure you strengthen and stabilise the smaller muscles first before targeting the bigger ones. Once you feel stronger you can up the resistance. The class includes non-impact compound exercises, working multiple muscle groups at the same time, with a strong emphasis on core strength, form and posture, to ensure you are working effectively. Both standing and floor work, this class suits both beginners and the more experienced. Plenty of guidance, lots of fun and a great start to the week.

GENTLE PILATES  

The beauty of Pilates is that it works for anyone, regardless of age or fitness level. This class is an easier pace and for anyone who has had recent surgery or has pathologies such as arthritis or osteoporosis or anyone who just wants to take it easy.

If you have a more complex condition and have been advised to do Pilates by your medical professional we would suggest taking a private class with us first where we can give you a full assessment before starting a class. 

PILATES gentle will still give you a good workout but focus on sympathetic support, encouragement, and reassurance. This session also works very well for older adults, although we do need clients to be able to get down and up from the floor unassisted.

PRIVATE  PILATES

If you have never done Pilates before or if you’re recovering from injury or struggling with a persistent problem 1:1 Pilates sessions could be a great choice.

 

POST NATAL FITNESS 

Bring along your gorgeous little humans as you rebuild your strength and fitness after birth.

Postnatal classes are available from 6 weeks postnatal (until 9 months)  We would highly recommend our ´Return to Fitness’ programme for anyone, especially complex births or pelvic floor issues prior to starting postnatal classes, however this class is suitable for all and can be scaled and tailored to everyone’s individual needs. Let’s face it- The babies will be in charge of this class. Plenty of time is set out in this class for fitness, fun and friendship with tea and chats at the end. 

PREGNANCY FITNESS 

Suitable to anyone from 12 weeks pregnant.

All classes will be tailored to an individuals stage of pregnancy by our specially trained midwives and everything in class can be scaled to suit different pregnancy needs

RETURN TO FITNESS  

Return to Fitness 6 week course. Suitable from birth to approx 12 weeks.

A clear focus on rehabilitating the core, diaphragmatic breathing, pelvic floor, and glute strength. We are building on the foundations so that we reduce the chance of incontinence, prolapse and diastasis recti. Ensuring more vigorous exercise later on is safe and enjoyable.

STRETCH CLASS

This class is suitable for everyone if you are someone who is not familiar with stretching or is extremely tight. We welcome you to give it a go.

Improve your mobility issues using simple exercises. We will take you through the most effective stretching solution to increase flexibility and mobility. We will show you how to make progress with a safe tried and tested system.

Teaching you to move well and resolve dysfunctional movement patterns that impede living comfortably in your body or performance.

Stretch is the perfect complement to Pilates and simply the most effective stretching solution to increase flexibility and mobility.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA 

Working with breath in postures to find space in mind and body. We will look to find strength and balance through this energizing Vinyasa practise.
